Spot Welder & Dent Puller Guide
Spot welding is a method utilized in many different mechanical industries including auto body shop work. It uses conductive heating, which is obtained from electric current generated from the machine, to weld two pieces of metal together at a specific point.
Traditional spot welding clamps two pieces of metal together by using two copper alloy electrodes. Due to the high thermal conductivity provided by copper, there are large amount of electricity current to form strong energy, which then is concentrated into the metal at that point to melt and stick them together.
Materials Consideration
Spot welding can be applied on a variety of metal materials, such as sheets of metal, steel and wire mesh. It can also be applied on aluminum via machine that produces higher level of electricity current.
Advantage of Spot Welding
Welds that formed from spot welding are impenetrable and long-lasting. In additional, as spot welding produces a large amount of energy, weld can happen on the spot, without excessively heating the rest of the metal pieces. The entire process is quick and smooth.
Choosing the right spot welder is essential, as If the current or heat isn't strong enough, the weld may not last long over time.
Solary Spot Welder Dent Puller Collection
Dent removal is one of the most common work type in auto body work shops. Dents can either be hit from the back, or pulled out to get out of the car body. In many occasions when it is hard to reach the back of the dent, dent pullers come in as the best option. Solary offers a wide variety of spot welders that will fit into your needs and budget.
Spot Welder Series

Capacitor Discharge (CD) Welder Series
Capacitor Discharge Stud Welding, usually called “CD” welding in short, is a low cost, rapid and flexible form of welding, ideal for thin gauge materials with clean and flat surfaces, including mild steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, copper, aluminium, and brass.
Solary has 2 models that utilize CD welding technology, one of which is made specifically for aluminium spot welding, as aluminum spot welding is becoming more common as aluminum is being used instead of steel in many applications where weight is important, such as automobiles.

Final Notes
Choosing the right spot current is key to spot welding, as the stronger electricity current is, the higher the heat being generated, the thicker metal you can weld, and the longer the weld spot will last. Digital or MCU controlled machine will always provide a more precious welding result compared to regular ones.
